Caribou Hunts
Our caribou hunts are our only hunt where the tag cannot be purchased over the counter and instead must be drawn. The caribou in the Central Alaska Range are known for their huge body size and great genetics. This area produces World Class Trophies every year. These caribou are found roaming high mountain ridges, remote valleys, and tundra. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or seeking a new challenge, a mountain caribou hunt offers an unforgettable adventure, where persistence and skill are rewarded with the chance to harvest a true wilderness trophy. Your hunt will start in Healy, Alaska and from there you will either be flown out to our base camp or directly out to a spike camp. This is a backpack hunt, and you will likely be moving camp from day to day to find the bull you are after. The solitude of the mountains, combined with the opportunity to spot and stalk these majestic creatures, makes it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many hunters.
Hunters can also harvest a grizzly bear and wolverine after September 1st on a trophy fee basis if the proper tags are bought prior to the hunt. Wolf may be harvested without a tag and with no additional charge.
Application period is from November 1st – December 15th at 5pm AKST.
